Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have to postpone the event to early December 2020, and extend the submission deadline to 15 September 2020.

Overview
Following the success of the conferences in 2017, 2018 and 2019, the Shanghai Institute of
International Finance Center (SIIFC) at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and the University of Edinburgh Business School are organizing the 4th Shanghai Green Finance Conference on 31 May 2020. For the first time, the conference will include a workshop on the theme of Climate Economics and Management. The objective of this workshop is to present top quality theoretical and empirical academic research devoted to climate and environmental issues. The conference also includes a high-profile forum which brings together key policy makers, top professionals, media and academics.
The committee welcome studies that provide cutting-edge insights into current research work. Specific topics and research questions can include, but are not limited to climate strategy and political economy, economic and social consequences of climate change, environmental behaviour and responses to regulations, environmental issues and development economy. The committee also encourages interdisciplinary study and research that uses newly available datasets or research approaches such as machines learning to provide new insights.
In consultation with the editors of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management
, the conference organisers encourage conference papers to be submitted to the journal. Conference papers submitted to the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management will go through the regular reviewing process.
